MONTPELIER: April 22 – The Montpelier Junior High Lady Locos placed second in an April 22 home tri-meet with Edgerton and Fairview.
The Lady Locos’ finished with 56 points, 11 points shy of first place Fairview.
After the meet, Coach Jason Johnson said, “Jacqueline Carlson paced the team with a pair of first place finishes in the 1600M and the 800M. Also receiving first place points were Hanna Bumb in the 200 Hurdles (Personal Record or PR), Rebekah Carr in the high jump (PR), and the 4 X 100 relay team of Lauren Cooley, Joy Scholma, Chelsea Graham, and Hannah Bumb. Earning second place honors were Kennedy Lamberson in the shot (PR), Katie Taylor in the disc, and the 4 X 200 relay team of Tiarra Tibbetts, Jaelyn Lyons, Destiny Oliphant, and Ashley Tingley. Earning third place points were Rebekah Carr in both the 110 Hurdles (PR) and the long jump, Chelsea Graham in the 100M (PR), Aubree Moss in both the 1600M (PR) and the 800M, Ashley Tingley in the 200M (PR), Kimme Engels in the 400M, Jaelyn Lyons in the 200 Hurdles (PR), Katie Taylor in the shot (PR), and Kennedy Lamberson in the disc. Fourth place points were earned by Hanna Bumb in the 100 Hurdles (PR), Lydia Grime in the 400M, Chelsea Graham in the 200 Hurdles (PR), and Alexis Marihugh in the disc (PR).”
