Edgerton And Fairview Bow To Montpelier Jr. High Boys

MONTPELIER: April 22 – The Montpelier Locomotive Junior High boys held sway over a pair of GMC foes on April 22. The Locos defeated both Edgerton and Fairview, taking first with 79 points.

After the meet, Coach Jason Johnson said, “Evan Friend had a BIG night as he won both the long jump and the high jump in new personal bests (shown as PR), as well as leading the 4 X 200 relay team with Brandon Stein, Jacob Bailey, and Jaden VanTong to victory. Others scoring first place points for us were Alex Abrams in the 110 Hurdles (PR), Kolden Uribes in the 200 Hurdles (PR), Austin Grubb in the 200M (PR), Jacob Bailey in the shot (PR), Noah Conklin in the disc (PR), and the 4 X 100 relay team of Brandon Stein, Austin Grubb, Jaden VanTong, and Kolden Uribes by one one-hundredth of a second! Scoring second place points for us were Tre Hutchinson in the 800M, Justin Wiyrick in the disc (PR), Jaden VanTong in the long jump (PR), Bryer Bentley in the pole vault (PR), and the 4 X 400 relay team of Bradey Clair, Blake Bumb, Nate Hutchinson, and Tre Hutchinson. Third place finishers were Bryer Bentley in the 110 Hurdles (PR), Jordan Ramey in the 100M (PR), Kolden Uribes in the 400M (PR), Alex Abrams in the 200 Hurdles (PR), Jordan Ramey in the 200M (PR), Jacob Bailey in the disc (PR), and Alex Abrams in the high jump (PR). Fourth place finishers were Nate Hutchinson in the 1600M (PR) and the 800M (PR), Bryer Bentley in the 200 Hurdles (PR), and Brandon Stein in the 200M (PR).”
