ICE CREAM SOCIAL … St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Montpelier hosted its annual ice cream social on Friday, June 19. The social served up sloppy chicken and sloppy joe sandwiches, baked beans, homemade potato salad, assorted desserts, and of course ice cream for a free-will donation. Pictured serving up baked beans for a carryout order are Allison Luke (left) and her daughter Sara Luke. Proceeds from the social benefit the church’s Social Action Group to support community events including funeral dinners and the Methodist Men’s mission work.
