A major expansion is underway for The Ohio Art Company, which has outlined plans to concentrate its operations in Bryan and significantly increase its workforce in Williams County.
The project, approved this week through the State of Ohio’s Job Creation Tax Credit program, is expected to generate 53 full-time-equivalent positions and more than $2.7 million in new annual payroll.
The company, a long-standing manufacturer specializing in metal lithography and tin-based consumer packaging, is preparing to merge functions currently split between Ohio and New Jersey.
According to state documentation, the consolidation requires facility upgrades at the Bryan headquarters along with new machinery and equipment purchases, creating a single production center for all major operations.
Ohio Art has maintained a presence in the community for well over a century. The company’s work today focuses on metal printing, decorated metal packaging, and related manufacturing services used across food and beverage brands, entertainment products, household décor, personal care goods, and multiple other consumer sectors.
Its lithographic processes are engineered to support the forming and shaping demands required in large-scale commercial packaging.
The consolidation is part of a broader push to modernize the company’s physical footprint while strengthening its production capabilities. The State of Ohio approved a 1.170 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit to support the job growth tied to the project.
State economic development officials noted that the combined investment and workforce gains are expected to have a meaningful impact on the regional economy once the upgraded operations are fully active.
The company projects that the transition and upgrades will continue through the coming months, with full consolidation targeted for completion in late 2026.
