Ohio Congressman Bob Latta Releases Statement On Death Of Ohio Navy Corpsman Maxton “Max” Soviak

August 29, 20211 Comment1 Min Read

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bob Latta (R-OH5) released the following statement on the death of Maxton “Max” Soviak, who was killed in the suicide bombing attack in Kabul on Thursday.

“We are heartbroken to learn that one of the brave servicemembers that gave their lives yesterday was a native of Northwest Ohio. Max will be remembered for his service to his country – paying the ultimate sacrifice in order to get American citizens out of the country.”

“His family has received the news every military family dreads hearing – that their son is not coming home. While they are grieving this devastating loss, they should know their son is a hero.”

“We are forever indebted to him and the other 12 servicemembers who lost their lives yesterday. Marcia and I send our prayers to his loved ones – please keep them in your prayers tonight.”
