Opal M. “Margie” Baumbarger, age 89, formerly of Whitehose, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Swanton Valley.
Opal was born in Lucas County on September 14, 1926, the daughter of Ernest “Red” and Hila “Mike” (Haskins) Longnecker. She married Wilbur Baumbarger, and he preceded her in death in 1992. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Whitehouse.
Surviving are her children; Dean (Brenda), David (Ruth), Don; siblings; Ramona Kiger, Gale Longnecker and Linda Graves. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Betty (Denton) Baumbarger, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur; son, Denton Baumbarger; parents; brothers-in-law, Jerry Kigar and Donald Graves; and sister-in-law, Deanna Longnecker.
