The Village of Archbold held a dedication ceremony downtown on Wednesday July 14th for the Village’s new mural. Residents were welcomed to come down to the ceremony and participate during the ribbon cutting.
After the ribbon cutting, people got the chance to meet and listen to artist Dave Rickerd who painted the mural.
Mayor Brad Grime and other council members that had a hand in the mural’s creation also spoke and participated in the meet and greet as well as the President of the Black Swamp Arts Council.
The dedication ceremony drew a large crowd of over between 200 to 250 people. “It was a really good feel-good event for the village, we really enjoyed it,” said Mayor Grime.
The mural took 45 days to complete and is now finished with the sealer coat being the only addition needed.
With construction starting in the downtown area within the next 2 weeks, the mural will give downtown even more of a great look and feel.
