Calaway Gerken shot a 79 to finish second individually and help the Lady Indians to first place in the Wauseon Invitational at Ironwood Golf Course at Wauseon. Halle Frank posted an 86, Jordan King had a 99, and Ashley Fisher tallied a 105 to complete the Lady Indians scoring.
Hilltop finished fourth paced by Jaime Chester with an 84, Ella Calvin and Avrie Johnston each fired a 93, and Ingrid Hoffman registered a 128. Kinsey Word had a round of 100 as Montpelier placed 11th and Stryker was 13th as they were led by Angela Soellner with a 96 and Kennedy Morr carded a 106.
BOYS GOLF
Swanton 175 North Central 192
Swanton’s Sam Betz was match medalist with a 42 and Garrett Swank had a 43 as the Bulldogs topped North Central in a dual match at Valleywood Golf Course. Mazin Rukieh and Ryan O’Shea each shot 45s for Swanton. Mason Sanford paced North Central with a 43, Zack Hayes fired a 44, Colin Patten had a 51, and Ben Petit tallied a 54.
Montpelier 168 Antwerp 190
Aidan Higbie turned in a 40 (+4) as the Locos put together four scores of 44 or better in a win over Antwerp at Suburban Golf Course. Jaxson Richmond was next for Montpelier with a 41, Trent Thorp shot a 43, and Drake Sommer chipped in with a 44. Gaige McMichael was low man for the Archers with a 42.
