Paul H. Nixon, 48, died suddenly from an apparent heart attack on Monday at his home in Pioneer. He was born on May 27th 1964 in Montpelier to Andrew L. and Carol J. (Miller) Nixon. Paul graduated from North Central High School in Pioneer in 1982. On April 27th 1994 he married Judy A. Tressler in Paulding, Ohio and she survives.
Paul was involved in residential construction along with his father and brother. During the past five years he and his brother were involved in the mining of St. Joe Sand and Gravel in Montpelier. Paul also drove truck for Woods Trucking Company in Wauseon, Ohio.
Paul was a member of the Montpelier Moose and Eagles and the Hillside Aero R.C.
Paul is survived by his wife Judy A. Nixon of Pioneer, mother Carol J. Nixon of Pioneer, two step daughters Pam A. Motter of Pioneer, Laurie and husband Scott Gentit of Stryker, a step son Rusty and wife Tonna Lonabarger of Berlin Heights, Ohio, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren, a brother David and wife Dianne Nixon of Montpelier and a sister Laura and husband Kevin Dulle of Edon.
Visitation hours for Paul will be on Friday, January 11th from 3-8 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer. Services will be on Saturday at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Lowell E. Fast to officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hillside Aero R.C. at Opdyke Park.
