Peggy L. Chamberlin, age 84, of Delta, with her family by her side; passed away at Fulton Manor in Wauseon early Tuesday morning, November 15, 2016. She was born in Delta on April 22, 1932 one of three daughters to the late Harry Adolph James Alcorn and Martha (Gutherie) Alcorn. On June 28, 1947 she married Lewis John Chamberlin.
Peggy worked at Fulton Industries in Wauseon for many years until retiring in 1994. Some of her favorite hobbies included cooking, square dancing with the “Skirts & Shirts Dance Club”, camping at the Fulton County Fair, traveling with her husband and friends, fair crafts; which included counted cross-stitching and painting ceramics. Peggy also was a talented artist, painting pictures, figurines and other items which won her awards at the county fair. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis in 2003; daughter, Connie Lou Chamberlin in 1960 and sisters, Betty Lee Kimball and Jerry Joyce Stough. She is survived by her sons, Garry (Carol) Chamberlin of Delta and Galen Chamberlin of Montpelier; grandchildren, Shawn (Amy) Chamberlin, Shane (Keri) Chamberlin, Jennifer (Brad) Croninger and Jodi (Tyler) Sommers; great grandchildren, Logyn, Rylee, Maddux and Macy Chamberlin, Kadence and Brison Croninger and Madyson, Aubrey and Liam Sommers.
Family and friends will be received from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta. A funeral service celebrating Peggy’s life will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 21, 2016 also at the funeral home. Pastor Eric Markovich will be officiating. Interment will follow at Raker Cemetery in Delta.
