Pettisville Defeats Edgerton, Liberty Center In Tri-Match

(September 20th, 2014)-LIBERTY CENTER: Pettisville competed in a tri-match at Liberty Center against the home town Tigers and fellow visitor Edgerton. The Lady Blackbirds came away winners in both.

Edgerton was the first opponent for Pettisville, and the Blackbirds took them down in straight sets. Game 1 was a tight set, but the Lady Blackbirds prevailed 25-20. The second game was also close, but Pettisville took the win 25-19.

Dana Fricke had 8 kills, 5 digs, and 2 blocks for Pettisville. Kate Kauffman made 25 assists to go with her 6 digs and 2 aces in the win.

Liberty Center was up next for the Blackbirds. Game 1 was controlled by Pettisville 25-15. The second set was a much closer affair, though the girls from Pettisville were able to take a narrow 25-23 victory to close out the match.

Stephanie Hubby had 30 digs and an ace in the win. Teammate Dana Fricke made 12 kills, 3 digs, 2 blocks, and an ace. Kate Kauffman handed out 18 assists for Pettisville as well.
