(September 11th, 2014)-FAYETTE: The Lady Blackbirds of Pettisville spread their wings in the nest of the Fayette Eagles, winning a BBC battle for air supremacy. Both the Seventh and Eighth Grade matches were won in straight sets by the girls from the girls from Pettisville.
In the Seventh Grade match, the Lady Eagles gave Pettisville some solid competition. The first set was the closer of the two games, as Fayette fell 17-25. Game 2 went similarly, but the home town Eagles struggled a bit more, losing the set 15-25.
The Eighth Grade match was all Pettisville. The Lady Blackbirds claimed the first game 25-10. The Eagles tried to rally in game 2, but they just couldn’t keep pace with the Blackbirds. Pettisville took the second set as well, 25-11.
