During the short meeting held by the Williams County Commissioners on Monday, August 23, 2021, the following items were approved:

-Resolution 291 Supplemental Appropriations on behalf of Engineer’s office, Sheriff’s office and Veterans Services

-Resolution 292 Authorizing Brian Davis to prepare and submit an application to participate in the Ohio Public Works Commission State Capital Improvement and Local Transportation Improvement Program and to Execute contracts as required

-Minutes of Previous meeting and payment of bills

-Also signed were Credit Card Appropriation for Commissioners office for September 2021; Annual report of Sheriff; Permit for use of County Property by Alive After 5 for a Concert on Thursday, August 19, 2021; and a Special Hauling Permit #21-048 John Boettcher Sewer and Excavating.

Commissioner Terry Rummel stated, “just for clarity” that Resolution 292 has nothing to do with ARP money.

This is different grant money for the townships, coming from the Ohio Public Works Commission and he is hopeful that everyone in the townships understands that and takes advantage of this money that is going to be available.

Present for the meeting were Debra Holbrook Beevers and Bart Westfall who are both planning to run for a spot on the commissioners bench in the fall.
