The Pulaski Township Trustees met in a regular session on Tuesday, July 28. Trustees present were Scott Noble, Tom Saul and Terry Witte. Also, Fiscal Officer Deanne Batterson, Road Supervisor Steven Hobeck and Zoning Inspector Todd Burkholder were present.
Regarding chip and seal work in the township, Batterson noted that while she was absent when the project was approved, no one had informed her about it, nor had she received a signed quote from Ward Construction of Leipsic.
Witte told her the county had already done it. The only thing the county is going to charge the township is the cost for the tar. Saul added the township had furnished the stone for it, and the county provided the equipment and the tar.
The township will also be receiving a bill from the county engineer’s office for purchasing an additional 50 gallons of tar for the durapatcher. It was for the crossovers on the chip and seal roads.
Trustees discussed the township building roof project. Batterson said the insurance company had asked if the repairs had been done yet. She emailed them to confirm that the work has not yet been done.
Witte said Schmucker Construction can’t do anything until they receive the state approved plans back.
Batterson reported the township received $18,854.41 from the Williams County Auditor in July from local taxes. The township also received $250 for building permits and another $50 for another permit.
The township also filed the quarterly payroll tax reports and paid all the payroll taxes that were due for the month of June.
She also met with EK Technologies regarding cybersecurity, and she told the trustees they are currently working with St. Joseph Township.
They will be coming to the Williams County Township Association meeting on August 20 at the county engineer’s office.
Zoning Inspector Todd Burkholder reported there were two permits issued to a township resident for two accessory buildings and another permit issued to another township resident for a new home.
With no further business, the meeting then adjourned at 6:56 p.m. Next meeting will be on Tuesday, August 11 at 6:30 p.m.
