Richard L. Perry, age 74, of rural Stryker, Ohio passed away early Monday morning, January 07, 2025 in his home.
Richard was born July 10, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Wilburn Houtchen and Edith Caroline (Peggs) Perry. He married Theresa M. Lamneck and she survives.
Richard was a career welder and enjoyed walleye fishing on Lake Erie with his family, showing and attending at the Bryan Cruise-ins, restoring classic cars, including a 1972 Nova Super Sport and a 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air and Go-Kart racing with his brothers. He also was a loyal fan of the University of Kentucky Basketball.
Survivors include, his wife, Theresa M. Perry, of rural Stryker, Ohio, his children, Jamie Perry, of Cresent Springs, KY., Richard (Amanda) Perry, Jr., of Walton, KY, Kellie (Jeff) Martin, of Burlington, KY., and James (Sharleen) Perry, Melbern, Ohio; his grandchildren, Jeff, Mitchell, Rodrick, Mercedes, Ellianna, Aiden, Tyler, Taylor, and Jordan, his great-grandchildren, Ace, Hendrix, and Briley, and his brothers, Cecil (Theresa) Perry, Mike (Robbin) Perry, Jeff Perry, Robert (Diane) Perry. Also surviving Richard are numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Donnie, his grandchildren, Deacon and Gage.
Richard’s visitation will be held 12:00 noon – 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2025 in Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio. Funeral service immediately follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will be in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan, Ohio. Serving as Richard’s pallbearers: Robert Perry, Cecil Perry, Mike Perry, Jeff Perry, Rick Perry, James Perry.
There will be a celebration of Richard’s life Monday, January 13, 2025, 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at the Bryan Eagles, 221 South Walnut Street, Bryan, Ohio 43506..
