Ronald Lee Reckner, a lifelong resident of Oakshade near Wauseon, Ohio, passed away peacefully. He was born on June 16, 1945, in Wauseon, Ohio, to Donald William Reckner and Ila Mae (Punches) Reckner.
Ronald dedicated 43 years of service to Sheller-Globe, where he worked as a skilled die setter. He was well known in the community for his outstanding high school basketball career and remained an avid hunter throughout his life.
On a November day in 1964, Ronald married the love of his life, Linda Sue Shulters. Together they shared 57 wonderful years of marriage before Linda’s passing. Their life together was built on love, commitment, and family.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, William H. Reckner; and his beloved wife, Linda Sue Reckner.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Kelly (Shannon) Ross and Jody (Mike) Rice; along with eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Ronald will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of the outdoors, and deep devotion to his family. His presence and legacy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A committal service for Ronald will take place on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Butler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Fulton County Humane Society or Heartland Hospice.
