Friday, October 21, Scoring Summaries

VARSITY FOOTBALL

Wauseon 43, Evergreen 20

The Indians scored 36 second quarter points on way to their NWOAL win over the Vikings. After a scoreless first quarter, Hunter Yackee connected with Noah Tester for a 33-yard pass play to start the second quarter scoring rampage. Yackee threw two more touchdown passes, one to Owen Newlove that covered 74 yards and the other a one yard throw to Kyle Zirkle. Junior Martinez found paydirt with a 45 yard run and Everett Bueter joined the scoring parade with an 18 yard run. Wauseon’s next score came in the third quarter when freshman Cody Figy, making his first Friday night appearance, connected with fellow freshman Sean Brock for a 61-yard pass play. In the fourth quarter Evergreen managed three scores after the Indians substituted in players. Nick Etue threw three touchdown passes. All three passes were to Tyler Noe.  Yackee finished with eight completions on 14 attempts for 191 yards and three touchdowns. Evergreen’s Hunter Van Wert led rushers with 82 yards on 23 carries.

Ayersville 34, Edgerton 6

Ayersville ran off 27 unanswered points to cruise to the victory. The Bulldogs scored in the fourth quarter when Dauson Dales threw a 40 yard pass to Jacob Miller. Clayton Flagel led Edgerton with 69 rushing yards on 17 carries.
