To recognize local investment in buildings, landscaping, events, and other improvements, Bryan Development has created a monthly “Spotlight Award.”
September’s recipient is Fearfully Made Boutique at 100 South Lynn Street, owned by Hailey Worthington.
Worthington started Fearfully Made Boutique six years ago as an online retailer of clothing and accessories.
The new location, formerly the offices of Specialty Eye Institute, gives customers an attractive, modern space to pick up their orders, plus shop for beautiful boutique items in adult sizes small to 3X.
Hailey and her crew will fill orders in a warehouse space in the rear, plus offer additional merchandise in the front retail space.
“We wanted to have a quaint storefront so shoppers can get a one-on-one feel to every visit” says Hailey.
Improvements to the building include painting the exterior and renovating the interior’s ground floor and upstairs apartment.
One section of the building houses rentable space currently used by nail techs and a massage therapist.
Worthington is a recipient of a Bryan Area Foundation’s Forgivable Loan of which she comments “I’m so incredibly thankful for Bryan Area Foundation with their help through this whole process and honored to be a part of the Bryan revolution on the Square.”
Bryan Development’s mission is to enrich the community by encouraging economic activity, preservation, and community pride.
The BD presents the Spotlight Award to a resident, business, industry, or institution that has invested in new construction, preservation, restoration, or beautification efforts, in Bryan.
Spotlight Award recipients are recognized by Bryan Development with a plaque and through social media and local news outlets.
The community is encouraged to submit Spotlight Award Nominations at developbryan@gmail.com.
