VARSITY SOFTBALL
Otsego 11 Wauseon 1 (5 inn.)
Otsego used a seven-run third to take command as they remained undefeated on the season. The Indians threatened in the fourth by loading the bases but were able to get just one run as Otsego pitcher Lexi North was able to work out of the inning. Wauseon (9-2) was limited to four hits on the night led by doubles from Payton Albright and Alexis Haury.

North Central 8 Edon 7
North Central scored six runs in their last two at-bats to pull out an 8-7 BBC win over Edon. Makinzy King had three hits on the night for the Eagles (3-6, 1-2 in BBC) while Kendee Hollstein and Isabelle Burnett each had two RBIs. Ashley Kaylor led the Edon (0-4,0-3) with a 2-4 game and scored two runs with Carlie Kiess scoring three times.
Evergreen 6 Tol. Notre Dame 5
Evergreen continued the momentum from their win over Archbold the night before by rallying to squeeze out a 6-5 win over Notre Dame. Evergreen (4-3) battled back from a 5-2 hole to tie the game 5-5 before a Kennedy Coolman RBI groundout in the sixth provided the winning run for the Vikings. Coolman had three RBIs on the night, Breanna Huffman went 1-3 with a home run and Macy Chamberlin was 1-2 with two RBIs.
Springfield 2 Archbold 0

Springfield pitcher Mady Yackee held Archbold to four hits over seven innings while recording seven strikeouts to lead the Blue Devils to the road win. Kylie Sauder had two of the hits for the Bluestreaks while Ella Bowman (7IP, 6 hits, 2 runs, 2 Ks) had a solid outing in the circle.
Montpelier 30 Fayette 0 (3 inn.)
The Locos scored 10 runs in each inning as they rolled to a BBC win over Fayette. Eleven Montpelier players tallied at least one hit led by Cady Hillard who went 4-5 with two doubles, four runs scored, and seven RBIs.
Bryan 10 Liberty-Benton 0 (6 inn.)
Bryan improved their record to 8-0 with a non-league win at home over Liberty-Benton. Addie Arnold got the win in the circle as she scattered three hits over seven innings. Scout Smith was 3-3 for Bryan with a single, triple, home run and three RBIs.

Swanton 6 Lake 5 (9 innings)
Brie Williams hit an RBI single to right in the ninth inning as Swanton (7-1) outlasted the Flyers 6-5 in extra innings. Williams, who also got the win in circle for Swanton, went 2-5 at the plate with two RBIs and Rachel Waszak also had two hits and drove in two runs.
Edgerton 17 Antwerp 5
Edgerton hammered 18 hits led by Rylei Moreno who was 4-6 with a single, two doubles and a homer as they cruised past Antwerp 17-5. Edgerton (6-7, 2-0 in GMC) tallied five runs in the second and fourth innings before slamming the door with seven runs in the seventh.
Pettisville 4 Stryker 2
Both teams scored all of their runs in the first inning before the pitchers controlled things the rest of the way. Ella Richer paced the Blackbirds offense with three hits and Kaylee Grimm added a pair of RBIs while Stryker was led by Gabby Ramon and Haylee Fulk with two hits each.

Montpelier 9 Fayette 0
Blake Altaffer doubled twice and scored three runs to lead Montpelier to a 9-0 win at Fayette (0-3, 0-3). Collin Crisenbery added two for Montpelier (8-1, 5-0 in BBC) while also getting the win on the mound as he allowed just two hits and struck out 13 in six innings of work.
Antwerp 15 Edgerton 1 (5 inn.)
Antwerp’s Austin Lichty collected five RBIs while striking out 10 to get the complete game win for the Archers (5-2, 2-0 in GMC). Warren Nichols provided the Edgerton (5-7, 0-2) offense with a solo home run in the second inning.
Pettisville 8 Stryker 2
Stryker led 2-0 until the fifth when Pettisville (5-2, 2-1 in BBC) scored four runs and then the Blackbirds added four more in the sixth to pull away from the Panthers. Jake King was 1-3 with three RBIs for Pettisville while Stryker (0-5, 0-4) had four players with one hit each.
Wauseon 14 Otsego 4
After a scoreless first inning, the Indians scored in every inning the rest of the way to get a 14-4 win at Otsego. Jude Armstrong had a double and three RBIs for Wauseon while Koleton DeGroff and Connar Penrod each drove in two runs. Clay Stump went five innings on the hill allowing just three hits and striking out 11 to get the win.
Toledo Start 11 Swanton 3
Toledo Start jumped to an 8-0 lead after three innings on their way to a 11-3 win over the Bulldogs (2-9). Austyn Gossett had a pair of doubles and two RBIs for Swanton.

Bryan 5 Ayersville 0
The Golden Bears won all five matches 6-0, 6-0 as they improved to 8-1 on the season after the win over Ayersville. Jay Fortner, Carter Brown, and Caleb McCashen earned wins in singles with the teams of Craig Jackson/Nathan Hess and Sam Kennedy/Dylan Koenig getting wins in doubles.
Archbold 3 Rossford 2
Archbold got a win in singles and won both doubles matches to get by Rossford 3-2. Miles Rupp was a 6-1, 6-0 winner in 1st singles while Kaden Rufenacht/Ethan Stuckey won is 1st Doubles (6-1,6-2) and Kaiden Keiser/Luke Rosebrook won in 2nd Doubles 6-0, 6-0.
