STRYKER BOARD OF EDUCATION: Board Meets For The First Time In 2024

The Stryker Board of Education met for their organizational meeting on Monday, January 8, 2024. The meeting began at 5 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. The board then had to elect a new board president and vice president.

Jason Leupp was chosen as the president and Brent Froelich as vice president. Next, the board moved to set dates and times for the 2024 regular board meetings before nominating Jason Leupp as the Legislative Liaison for the Ohio Board Association, with Brent Froelich as Student Achievement Liaison.

The superintendent then appointed board members to various board committees, a recommended Board Service fund was established, authorization was given to the superintendent and treasurer for various duties in 2024, The organizational meeting came to an end at 5:11 p.m.

The board’s regular meeting began at 5:12 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. For the first order of business, the board approved the agenda, minutes from the previous meeting, and financials.

The school received several donations for FFA which included $500.00 from UPI/Parks, $250.00 from Benjamin/Amy Dominique, and $150.00 from Speiser Family. The board thanks each one of them for their generous donations.

Next, the superintendent heard reports from the elementary and high school principal which included important upcoming dates for 2024.


With nothing else left to discuss, the board moved to adjourn at 5:20 p.m. The next regular board meeting is set for February 12 at 5:30 p.m.
