The Swanton Chamber of Commerce held a Downtown Block Party this past weekend on Saturday, July 13th. The party was held on Zeiter Way just off of North Main Street near Benfield Wines and Hub’s Swantucky Pub.

This is the 3rd block party the Chamber of Commerce has put on this year. According to Chamber President Delray Busch, the event generally brings in around 250-300 people.

This event though may have brought in a somewhat smaller amount due to the high heat. Even so, three food trucks were set up along with inflatables and live music.

Food vendors included Dirty South BBQ, The Rolling Lemon, and Duces Dawgs. Live music was performed by 2 Left Missing and inflatables were brought in from a local Swanton Company called Fancy Fun Inflatables.

Benfield Wines and Hub’s Swantucky Pub were also set up, with customers able to take full advantage of the local DORA in effect.

Chamber of Commerce President Delray Busch thanked everyone who came out and braved the heat. “Our goal is to get people downtown and see what Swanton has to offer. We are very happy for everyone who braved the heat today, especially when paired with the traffic.”

The next Downtown Block Party will be held on August 3rd from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
