Tony Ray Phillips, age 60, of Swanton, Ohio passed away suddenly in his home Monday, November 13, 2023. He was born May 18, 1963 at Detwiler Memorial Hospital, Wauseon, Ohio to James Edward and Chloe Gertrude (Caudill) Phillips.
Tony graduated from Liberty Center High School; Class of 1981, then began his profession as a CNC machinist for the next 35 years.
After being a caregiver to his father for 3 years, he decided to change careers at Toledo Airport in the loading and maintenance department.
He is preceded in death by his mother Chloe and sister Pamela and will be waiting for him with open arms.
He is survived by his father, James “Eddie” Phillips, of Bryan, Ohio, his children, Nickolas R. Phillips, of Pioneer, Ohio and Ashlynn N. Phillips, of Napoleon, Ohio, his four loving grandchildren, Harley, Addison, Charlie and Hunter, his sister, Patricia (Doug) Hill and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tony enjoyed being with his family and friends and all things outdoors which he loved unconditionally. He enjoyed traveling and hunting trips with family and friends. He was a huge Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians fan. He was an avid listener to Liberty Center football games. He loved his family, and he will truly be missed by many.
A celebration of Tony’s life will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolence of the family.
