Excitement abounded as teams sought to establish themselves as the most brilliant minds in Williams County.

The United Way initiative Trivia Night was held at the Montpelier Moose Friday night, March 13, to raise money for the We Care Cabinet charity organization which provides personal care items, such as toilet paper, shampoo, deodorant, bar soap, and toothpaste, for the local food pantries of Williams County.

Susie Osburn and Tonya Heston, chairpersons and organizers for the event, were pleased with the turnout. Seven teams, with10 people per team, helped raise $100 each table, and all proceeds went to the We Care Cabinet.

Two prizes were awarded: trivia contest best team spirit and trivia contest winner. The team spirit award, chosen by Osburn and Heston, went to Team Freddy Krueger while the trivia winner plaque was awarded to Team Healthnatics for their grasp of trivia.

Snacks were provided by the United Way and a cash bar by the Moose. Both plaques were donated by Bill’s Locker Room.
