VanArsdalen & Reamsnyder Take Sumner Awards At 2021 Hilltop Science Fair

CREAM OF THE CROP … Winners of the 2021 Sumner Awards for best science fair projects were Eleana VanArsdalen and Joe Reamsnyder

A total of 23 Superior scores and 8 High Excellents were earned at the 2021 Hilltop Science Department Science Fair on February 13.

Projects are graded on a 0-40 point scale, with a Superior score receiving between 36 and a perfect 40 points. Receiving the coveted Sumner Award for the top project was Eleana VanArsdalen in the Junior High category, with her project, “Does Texting Affect Reaction Time?”

Joe Reamsnyder won the Sumner Award in the High School category with his project, “Engineering a Modified Brewbaker and Kwack Medium for Cucurbita pepo.”
