The Swanton Village Council is moving forward with a proposal for the Memorial Park Master Plan in regard to the playground.

During the first week of July, the Village opted to present residents with a survey to get their opinions on what they would like to see at the park.

The survey presented 3 different options with each option having different choices for the free-standing objects at the playground.

The main setup for the playground will have a swings area, a large area for equipment geared to 5–12-year old’s and a smaller area geared to 2-4-year old’s.

The survey ended with over 190 responses from the community that led to the Village choosing option B for their proposal.

Option B includes freestanding objects such as a Roxall See Saw, Swinging Seats and a Jumbo Flyer.

The Village has been working with DWA Recreation and GameTime for the playground at Memorial Park. The Village will be working to proceed with the next steps for the Master Plan as time moves forward.
