(September 20th, 2014)-WAUSEON: The Lady Indians of Wauseon hosted a tri-match on Saturday against North Central and Fairview. Wauseon was able to win both matches.
The Lady Indians took on Fairview first, beating them in straight sets. Game 1 was all Wauseon, who took the set 25-15. The second set was tighter, but the Indians prevailed 25-19.
Hayley Chamberlain made 12 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 aces for Wauseon. Fellow Indian Sariah Yackee had 15 digs in the match.
North Central forced Wauseon into a third game. The first set was Wauseon’s, as they won the game 25-10. The Lady Eagles came back, however, beating the Lady Indians in game 2 25-19. The third game was close, but Wauseon pulled off the victory 25-17.
Morgan Roth made 10 assists for the Lady Indians. Kierra Fountain had 8 digs, 6 kills, and 3 aces in the win.
