WAUSEON CITY COUNCIL: Citizens Address Council About Importance Of School Levy

The Wauseon City Council held their meeting on Monday, March 21st at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Council first moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting before then hearing from individuals present to address council.

Ron Schoettley addressed the council regarding the school levy. Schoettley voiced his concerns about the future of Wauseon Schools if the levy does not pass.

He encouraged the council and the citizens of Wauseon to vote in favor for the school levy. Mayor Kathy Huner thanked him for his time.

Council then moved to approve Resolution 2022-02 giving authorization for the mayor to enter into an agreement with Dillin Control Systems for engineering services.

In new business, councilman Schneider brought up the discussion of wages for lifeguards at the pool. Keith Torbet stated that the rates have not yet been set for this year.

Council then moved to approve the bills as read before moving to adjourn at 5:26 p.m.
