The City of Wauseon held their council meeting on Monday, August 16th at 5:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was observed followed by a moment of silence and roll call.
A motion was then made to approve the minutes from the previous meeting. Next was a summary of the Tree commission meeting provided by Councilor Griggs.
Mr. Griggs informed the council that there are three trees that may need to be removed from Reighard Park.
Two of the trees are oak and the other is a hickory tree. He also informed the council that a discussion took place regarding the possible planting of three Beech trees.
The council then moved to hear reports from City Department Heads. Keith Torbet went first and informed everyone that he had submitted the paperwork needed for the Ohio New Infrastructure grant.
Tom McWatters went next and shared that the EMS contract has been accepted and that the finance committee will need to schedule a meeting. With no legislation to address council moved on to new business.
A motion was made to schedule trick or treat on Saturday, October 30th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The motion was passed. A motion was then made for the approval of the bills which was also approved.
With nothing else on the agenda, a motion was made to adjourn which passed at 5:20 p.m.
