The United Way of Williams County hosted its 12th Annual United Way Trivia Night on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Williams County Veterans Memorial Building.
The movie-themed trivia competition consisted of nine rounds, with hand-provided answers sheets for each team to fill out.
Trivia categories included famous locations, sports in movies, well-known movie quotes, identifying actors, and more.
One round featured two special-guest hosts, United Way Director Amy Kirby and her husband, who gave enthusiastic renditions of famous character lines.
There were nine rounds total, and refreshments and open bar for participants to enjoy. A special side game titled “Granny Panties” was also held, offering a $130 cash prize for the lucky competitors selected.

In addition to the trivia competition, awards were presented for best costume and most team spirit! Some groups of contestants dressed as famous movie characters, ranging from Harry Potter to the Addams Family, to Dodgeball athletes and Scooby-Doo.
Most importantly, the event was held to raise awareness for the Williams County United Way – in order to give back to local food banks that serve hundreds across the county.
All proceeds were dedicated to “We Care Cabinet.” The “FUNdraiser” will help raise $10,000 in donations for local food pantries.
Sponsors for the 12th Annual Trivia Event included the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Ohio Art, Allied Moulded Products, Dyco Manufacturing, and Financial Advisor Office Edward Jones Ryan Bethel.
