HISTORY HUNTERS … The Williams County Historical Society hosted a “Hunting For History” event on Thursday, July 16, in Montpelier. Children ages 4-12 went on a history adventure, becoming history detectives. They searched for clues hidden throughout the museum, log cabin and depot. Each clue revealed a piece of Williams County history, ranging from a telephone switchboard to big boots worn by Antarctica explorer Dr. Paul Allman Siple, a Montpelier native. Pictured are several children and parents looking at a wall map, finding a photo of the Montpelier railroad depot, which was among the clues of the event.
