PIONEER – North Central’s young program looks to build on the success that the program has experienced in their first two seasons at the varsity level.
After making the playoffs the last two years, the Eagles will be guided by a new head coach as former Wayne Trace assistant Tyler Iwinski takes over.
North Central will be tasked with replacing a large senior class that was a key part of the program’s evolution.
While also relying on returning letterwinners to fill those voids, Iwinski will also be counting on some newcomers.
Iwinski points to Thane Martin, Briggs Fiser, and Alex St. John among those he will be counting on along with Drake Massey competing for a spot on the front line with Noah Thompson and Dakota Baker in the mix.
Iwinski looks for Zack Whitley and Cash Marting to get playing time at wide receiver and tight end.
“Our speed and athleticism will be strengths this year”, said Iwinski. “We will be a young team and will be short on depth at some key positions.”
“We aim to have a successful season while growing numbers and keeping the winning tradition in Pioneer moving forward”, he added.
