Coach’s outlook: “We return some starters offensively. We know Kellen Sanchez will be a primary factor in the offense, and Ty Leppelmeier is returning up front on the offensive line. We graduated our three-year starting quarterback (Maddox Baker) and need to fill the QB role.
“We will be extremely young overall. We may be relying on multiple sophomores and freshmen to fill starting positions this year on offense. Defensively, Kellen Sanchez will be a big factor along with Myles Baker, who had a very nice year as a starting freshman, last year.
“Ty Leppelmeier and Mason Elden should take another leap for us defensively after having good years as juniors. We have the most varsity experience in the secondary. Tackling and the speed of the game are big concerns when you play with younger players. We will be relying on sophomores and possibly some freshmen to play on Friday nights.”
GMC outlook: “The GMC is always a competitive league year in and year out. There is a lot of talent returning to the GMC this season. We are looking forward to the opportunity to compete in our league schedule.”
