Three Williams County Residents Facing Felony Charges In Defiance County

According to the Defiance County Prosecutor’s Office, three Williams County residents are facing felony charges.

• Chelsie R. Carter, 23, of Pioneer, on one county of retaliation, a third-degree felony, and one count of violating a protection order, a first-degree misdemeanor. Authorities allege Carter threatened an individual for reporting a crime on Jan. 7 and also violated the terms of a protection order by contacting the protected party.

• David J. Bakle Sr., 61, of Bryan, on two counts of inducing panic, one a fourth-degree and the other a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege Bakle threatened to inflict serious physical harm to residents and officers of Defiance County after being contacted by law enforcement in regards to a complaint on Feb. 17.

• Jeffrey D. Davis Jr., 24, of Montpelier, on one count of failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege Davis failed to appear for a pre-trial hearing at Defiance County Common Pleas Court on Dec. 6. He was previously released on a personal recognizance bond in connection to the commission of a felony.

Arraignments are scheduled for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12
