Edon Student Council will be sponsoring a Food Drive the week of October 29, 2012 as part of the Thirteenth Annual Neighbors In Need campaign conducted by 105.7 The Bull and Chief Supermarkets.

Non-perishable food items, such as canned fruits and vegetables, soups, pasta, macaroni and cheese, stews, applesauce, noodles, cereal, baby foods, canned juices, canned meats, oatmeal, pancake mix, syrups, potatoes, pudding, Jell-O and toiletries will be collected Monday, October 29, Tuesday, October 30 and Wednesday, October 31 during regular school hours. Monetary donations to the Food Drive (made payable to WZOM – Neighbors in Need) are extremely helpful as well.

Students, parents and the Edon Community are also invited to drop off items during a “Live Drive” broadcast with The Bull staff on Thursday, November 1 from 7:00– 9:00 a.m. at the school. Additionally, items collected by Edon Junior High and High School students will be presented by EHS Student Council members during this time.

All donations help Neighbors in Need provide food items and financial aide to twenty-three pantries in Williams, Defiance and Paulding Counties ~ all right home here in Northwest Ohio. Items collected from this year’s friendly competition between Grades 7-12 will once again be donated to the Edon Food Pantry.

For additional information regarding the Food Drive, please contact Edon Northwest Local Schools at 419-272-3213. To learn more about Neighbors in Need, please call the radio station at 419.782.8126 or visit them at www.1057thebull.com.
