Executive Board members of CHWC-Montpelier Hospital Auxiliary held a planning meeting Monday, April 12th at 1:00 p.m. in the Robison Room at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Montpelier.
This was the first meeting of the organization held since last November due to the Covid19 pandemic. The board welcomed Kelly Colon, Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers Patient Experience program coordinator, to the meeting.

Kelly explained what the patient experience program and guest services entail at both Bryan and Montpelier Hospitals.
Kelly also gathered information regarding the auxiliary’s organization, donations regularly presented to CHWC Share Foundation and local hospital, and normal activities of the auxiliary.
During the pandemic the auxliary’s primary source of income, the hospital gift shop, has been closed and only limited activities have been held including distribution of patient favors, “Lighting the Way to Christmas” memorial luminaries and angels, and Christmas gift baskets for all 11 departments at the Montpelier Hospital.
The auxiliary executive board will meet Monday, April 3rd at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Church Robison Room.
The next general meeting of the auxiliary for all members is planned Monday, May 10th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s UM Church. Roll call will be “What flower will you plant?”.
Nicki Jackson of Surely Daisies will demonstrate making floral arrangements.
A candlelight memorial service will also be included. National Nurses Week will be observed May 6-12 and the auxiliary recognizes and thanks all the nurses for their devotion and compassion for excellent patient care, especially during these challenging times.
