Pettisville Wins Against Traveling Eagles Of North Central

(September 16th, 2014)-PETTISVILLE: Defending their home court, the Lady Blackbirds of Pettisville played host to North Central. The Lady Eagles couldn’t nest in the Pettisville gym, however, as the Lady Blackbirds took down their visitors in straight sets.

Pettisville set the tone of the match right away, with a 25-11 win in game 1. The girls of North Central continued to give it their all, but couldn’t manage a win in a difficult road environment. Game 2 saw the Pettisville girls taking a 25-13 victory. The Lady Eagles made one last attempt at a comeback, but still dropped the set 12-25.

For Pettisville, Dana Fricke attacked the net visciously, netting 11 kills and 4 blocks in addition to 5 digs and an ace. Kate Kauffman set up 14 assists, also contributing 6 digs, 2 aces, and a kill. Stephanie Hubby amassed 22 digs and 2 aces in the victory.

Cady VanDeVoorde made 7 digs on the game for North Central. Lady Eagle Keely Shaw played big at the net, making 5 blocks.
