(September 22nd, 2014): The Indians of Wauseon took on the Archbold Blue Streaks on Monday. While the girls from Wauseon put up a good fight, the Lady Blue Streaks came away with the victory.
In singles action, Lady Indian Autumn Dominique lost to Archbold’s Shelby Cline 1-6, 1-6. The same fate befell Wauseon’s MacKenzie Eberly, who was defeated by the Blue Streak’s Hannah Hesterman, 1-6, 1-6. Cherese Bussing provided the lone win for the Indians on the day, taking down Maddy Roth of Archbold, 6-2, 6-1.
For the doubles competitions, Archbold took both matches. Cassidy Barns and Michelle Whitmer of Wauseon fell to Archbold’s Lydia Andres and Viviana Garcia 4-6,1-6. Lady Indians Paige Moden and Sarah Becker dropped their match to Archbold representatives Jessica Lindsay and Hannah Kern 2-6, 0-6.
