GIRLS BASKETBALL

Bryan 58 Evergreen 33

BRYAN – The Golden Bears (16-4, 6-0 NWOAL) wrapped up at least a share of their third consecutive NWOAL championship after a 58-33 Senior Night win over Evergreen.

Reese Grothaus topped the scoring for Bryan with 16 and Delilah Taylor added 10. Macy Chamberlin led the Evergreen (12-8, 3-3) effort with 13 and Bekah Bowser netted 10.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Bryan, 50-35

Wauseon 73 Delta 33

DELTA – Wauseon (19-3, 6-1 NWOAL) exploded for a 28-point second quarter to take a 46-14 lead at halftime as they ended the regular season with a 73-33 victory.

Hayley Meyer dropped 27 points and collected eight rebounds for Wauseon while Marisa Seiler had 21, and Autumn Pelok added 10.

Khloe Weber fronted Delta (5-15, 2-5) with four buckets and three free throws for 11 points.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Wauseon, 17-12

Archbold 53 Swanton 18

ARCHBOLD – The Bluestreaks put ten players in the scoring column as they won convincingly over Swanton 53-18.

Leah McQuade fronted Archbold (13-8, 4-2 NWOAL) with 11 points and Addi Ziegler had five buckets for 10.

Alaina Pelland was high scorer for the Bulldogs (9-12, 0-7) with three field goals and a free throw for seven points.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Archbold, 38-23

Edon 43 Fayette 10

EDON – Edon (6-15, 2-4 BBC) held the Eagles to single digits in each quarter for a 43-10 win on Senior Night for the Bombers.

Carlie Kiess had 10 points to lead Edon while Demi Storrs had three for Fayette (1-19, 0-6).

Stryker 48 Pettisville 27

PETTISVILLE – Stryker hit eight three-pointers as team in a 48-27 road win. Sage Woolace paced the Stryker (10-11, 3-3 BBC) offense with five field goals and was 4/4 at the charity stripe for 16 points.

Leah Beck was the only Blackbird (3-19, 1-6 BBC) in double figures with 15.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Stryker, 30-28

Hilltop 51 Holgate 28

HOLGATE – The Cadets (14-7, 5-1 BBC) dominated the second and third quarters by outscoring the Tigers (8-13, 3-3) 33-11 to pull away for a 51-28 win.

Jayma Bailey led a balanced attack for Hilltop with 12 points.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Holgate, 22-8

Tinora 70 Edgerton 34

DEFIANCE – Tinora (14-8, 5-2 GMC) had four players in double digits led by Liz Mueller with 16 points as they cruised past Edgerton 70-34.

Addie Cape made three shots from deep on her way to a team-high 11 points for the Bulldogs (2-20, 0-7).

GIRLS BOWLING

Patrick Henry 2,318 Evergreen 1,828

DESHLER – Patrick Henry (10-2, 8-2 NWOAL) jumped out to an 857-718 advantage after game one and rolled past Evergreen 2,318-1,828.

Carly Kanneman totaled a 322 (169, 153) for the Viking (4-7, 3-7) high series and Keigan Shuster added a 320 (159, 161).

BOYS BOWLING

Bryan 2,347 Swanton 2,145

SWANTON – Bryan’s Matt Meade posted a 459 (191, 268) and Dakota Brandeberry recorded a 399 (183, 216) as the Golden Bears (12-2, 10-2 NWOAL) ended the regular season with a win at Swanton.

Seth Sweet topped the Bulldogs (7-7, 6-6) with games of 185 and 184 for a 369 series.

Patrick Henry 2,411 Evergreen 2,117

DESHLER – Josh Hoops and Tyler Piercefield each had opening games of 214 to lead the Patriots (9-5, 8-4 NWOAL) over Evergreen.

Zachary Laver and Mason Luttrell each fired a 370 series to pace Evergreen (1-12, 1-11).
