The 2012-13 Performance Season the Passport to Great Entertainment Series, will present its third concert on Sunday, November 11th at 3 p.m. at Fayette’s historic Opera House with guest artists Brian and Laura Ebie performing in the second program of the Glasgow Reed Organ Series.
The Ebies will performance promises to be a beautiful celebration of Thanksgiving and the autumn season and will include a tribute to our armed forces in recognition of Veteran’s Day.
American hymns, patriotic songs, and the music of Thanksgiving will highlight the program to be performed on flute and with the Opera Houses three manual and pedal Mason & Hamlin reed organ, Alexander Harmonium from 1866 and grand piano.
In addition to being a nationally recognized music educator, pipe organ technician and speaker, Brian Ebie has performed extensively throughout the nation including a concert on the 206 rank Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ at the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City.
Laura Ebie, a professional photographer as well as a musician who plays flute professionally will be joining her husband for the Fayette appearance.
The husband and wife duo reside in Northeast Ohio.
The Glasgow Reed Organ Series is the nation’s only concert series devoted to music performed on the reed organ and presented in an authentic, period appropriate performance venue. The Series, named after master reed organ technician and restorer of the 1890’s vintage three manual Mason & Hamlin Reed Organ; Don Glasgow, has featured performers from around the nation, Europe and Japan.
The Glasgow Series is produced and supported by the Fayette Community Fine Arts Council, Inc.
