THE VILLAGE REPORTER

Edon junior class parents helped area residents beat the “winter blahs” ~ and raise money for 2015 post prom activities ~ when they hosted a unique dinner on February 13 at Edon Schools Auditeria.

Held prior to the Bombers boys basketball game against North Central, the meal featured Pettisville Meats’ “Pork Chop On-A-Stick” as the main entrée with baked potato, roll, cookie and beverage rounding out the course. While most chose to dine in a more “refined” fashion, some opted to enjoy the delicious chop as intended ~ right off the stick!

If you were unable to attend Friday’s event, be sure to mark your calendar for upcoming fundraisers planned by the Post Prom Committee. “Pie Sales”, running now through Tuesday, February 24, offers customers several choices of pie filling: Dutch Apple, Strawberry Rhubarb, Coconut Cream, Pecan, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Sugar Cream, Butterscotch, Peach or Blackberry Cobbler. Place your order right away with any junior parent to ensure you’ll have them to enjoy! Cost is eleven dollars per pie.

Families will also have the chance to attend Family Fun Night activities slated for Saturday, March 7 from 5-9:00 p.m. at Edon Schools. Packed with plenty of fun, food and fellowship throughout the night, this annual event once again promises not to disappoint!

All fundraisers sponsored by junior class parents will help make the May 2 Post Prom celebration possible.
