COLUMBUS, OH – The Ohio Counties 2023 Scholarship application is now open to Ohio high school seniors. The scholarship program is sponsored by the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO) Research and Educational Foundation.
Founded in 1991, as a not-for-profit charitable foundation for CCAO, the CCAO Research and Educational Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization that obtains grants and donations to provide the high-quality information, tools, and training for our members and the people of Ohio.
“This is a valuable opportunity for Ohio’s young people to leverage their interest in public service and county government,” said CCAO President and Henry County Commissioner Glenn Miller. “CCAO is excited to invest in the future leaders of Ohio.”
“I very much encourage graduating high school seniors who reside in our county to apply for the Ohio Counties 2023 Scholarship” said Logan County Commissioner Joe Antram. “This grant is meant to help defray the costs of a college education.”
The Board of Williams County Commissioners encourage our own graduating high school seniors to apply for the Ohio Counties 2023 Scholarship.
We are thankful that CCAO offers this opportunity to our area seniors within Williams County.
Throughout the state, there will be one scholarship offered to students in each CCAO District (Central, Southwest, Northwest, Northeast, and Southeast).
The award amount is $2,000 and is payable to the student when CCAO has received confirmation of the applicant’s attendance at a university, community college, training program or vocational school.
Applicants should plan on a career in public service in Ohio. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is Friday, May 5, 2023.
The County Commissioners Association of Ohio advances effective county government for Ohio through legislative advocacy, education and training, technical assistance and research, quality enterprise service programs, and greater citizen awareness and understanding of county government.
