The Village of Archbold’s Municipal Building will soon be receiving a facelift. Both the exterior of the building and the first floor of the building will be entirely re-done.
The project itself is expected to cost an estimated $1.4 million and will consist of demolishing the existing exterior canopy on the South side.
A new concrete masonry entrance structure with a handicap ramp will be installed as well. Repairs and rehabilitation of the building exterior will be completed along with the sidewalk, landscaping and lighting repairs and enhancements.
The interior renovations will include a new lobby and breakroom, remodeled restrooms, an expansion of the council chambers, and an updated utility billing office.
Other interior improvements will revolve around plumbing, HVAC, lighting and electrical.
The project has already been approved and will go out for bid within the next couple of weeks.
Once bids are received, work will be done to determine the right contractor for the job before moving on with the project.
