THE VILLAGE REPORTER

The Williams County Fairground was abuzz with activity, and barely a place to park, at the Fair Foundation’s annual garage sale event last weekend, February 28 and March 1.

Local merchants, and those from surrounding states, came to sell their wares at the affair and consumers were more than happy to purchase merchandise ranging from homemade items, antiques, collectibles, guns, clothes, and other garage sale articles.

With so many vendors participating, they used three buildings, each one heated, for this occasion: the Gillette Building, the rabbit barn, and the 4-H Building, and there was still barely room to maneuver without bumping into other treasure seekers.

This event occurs each year around the end of February and is sponsored by the Williams County Fair Foundation. Concessions were also provided by the Foundation for shoppers in need of refreshment.

Many of the merchants make this a yearly tradition and have done so since the Foundation began the garage sale.

For more information on setting up a booth next year, suggestions for the Fair Foundation, or general questions about upcoming events, contact Al Bennett at 419-551-0950 or like them on Facebook.
