The Williams County Commissioners held their regular May 25, 2023 session at 9:38 a.m.
They approved a resolution for appropriation requests, a travel request for Commissioner Terry Rummel to attend RGP Jobs Ohio, the Dog Warden report through May 21, 2023, a manual for the bridge replacement project, as well as the minutes from the May 22, 2023 session and the bills as presented.
Commissioner Rummel then informed the commissioners that he had the pleasure of meeting with Ashley Epling, the Executive Director of WEDCO, and has learned of a lot of opportunities for funding and services available to the county.
One of the most exciting aspects to this is the opportunity available to inventors and entrepreneurs to receive funding for the development of intellectual contributions.
The commissioners went into recess at 9:41 a.m. until they met with Williams County Engineer Todd Roth and Williams County Ditch Superintendent Brian Fritsch to discuss the postponement of the final hearing on Ditch No. 740.
This is due to concerns from a citizen that purchased property affected by Ditch No 740’s petition after it was filed, and remained unaware of its filing until letters regarding the final hearing went out to affected property owners in the mail.
The final hearing was postponed 60 days and rescheduled from June 12, 2023 to August 14, 2023 at 10 a.m.
Mr. Roth and Mr. Fritsch agreed to send in an informational letter to the commissioners regarding the findings of their analysis on Ditch No. 740 before the Commissioners went into recess at 10:12 a.m.
