The Pioneer Village Council met on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 7 p.m., where they approved a car show to coincide with the craft show on September 11, 2023, approved ODOT maintenance, a liquor license for Jim’s Carryout, tax levy amount and rates, and the projects for Dearborn and Cedar Streets.

After Mayor Kidston called the meeting to order, the agenda was approved as presented.

The minutes of the June 19, 2023 meeting were then approved as presented, as was the financial report for June 2023.

The bills were approved to be paid as presented, including a Hometown HDWR invoice for $1804.11.

Then Jennifer and Rob Bertlett addressed the council, asking that a car show be approved during the craft show set to take place on September 11, 2023. Council approved this request.

Al Fiser’s administrative report and Gina Gruber’s assistant administrative reports were accepted as presented, which included the updates on ODOT maintenance promissory notes and the Dearborn Street and Cedar Street projects.

Fiscal Officer Elizabeth Kidston’s report led to an approval of a liquor license for Jim’s Carryout and tax levy amounts and rates.

Kidston then shared his letter of intent to make use of the solar power gathered and used by the village before council passed an ordinance and two resolutions carrying these decisions.

The Pioneer Village Council is set to meet again August 14, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Pioneer Community Center.
