For the eleventh year running, the Edon Cinderella Project once again offered Prom-bound girls from throughout Williams County to find an affordable, yet stylish dress. And at $10 a dress, one can certainly stress the word affordable.

This year, patrons who flocked to the Edon Band room could sift through 378 dresses to find that one which was perfect for them. That number is a high one, as the project continues to grow from year to year.

“When we first started, we were excited if we got 100 dresses.” Annette Peckham, an Edon Math Teacher assisting with the project, stated.

While people crowded the scene to get their dresses, there were still plenty left over at the conclusion of the shopping day. These remaining garments will be evaluated, with those unlikely to sell getting donated, as the rest will be stored for next year.

All proceeds from the Cinderella Project are donated to the Williams County Cancer Association.
