Normally, its the Williams County Historical Society that brings items of historical significance to the residents of Williams County. Over the weekend of March 28 and 29, however, it was the people whom they normally serve bringing artifacts to them.

Over thirty vendors set up shop in the auditeria of Montpelier Exempted Village Schools for a two day antique show. Not only were people welcome to sell their wares, but patrons could also bring in family heirlooms and the like for appraisal by members of the Historical Society. And with each appraisal came a good bit of conversation as well.

From gorgeously aged clocks to shimmering glass tableware, there was something for everyone at the antique show. Old fashioned umbrellas, pretty vases, and jewelry decorated tables and shelves as each item awaited just the right buyer. Overall, a good time was had by all, with a few people thickening their wallets a bit, and virtually everyone becoming interactive in the history of the area.

Which is the aim of the Historical Society in the first place.
