THE VILLAGE REPORTER

The Fountain City Amphitheatre in Bryan saw the community lining up as early as 3 p.m. for A Girl Named Tom’s 9 p.m. concert.  Vendors started selling food at 4 p.m., and everyone was excited for the concert to start.

The energy was palpable as Ohioans beamed with pride at getting to watch some of their own perform up on the stage.

A Girl Named Tom is a band made up of three siblings – Bekah and her brothers Caleb and Joshua Liechty- who are from Pettisville, Ohio.

HUGE TURN OUT … The crowd was huge, with people showing up as early as 3 p.m. to start setting up for the concert.

It isn’t every day that someone from not even a half an hour away gets to bring the community together using their talent, and the crowd was huge.

A Girl Named Tom has been a band since 2019 and is maybe best known for being the first ever trio to win The Voice during season 21.

This is their second national tour since winning the show, and they aimed to make their stage feel welcoming and homey with their “living room” theme.

OHIO COMMUNITY … Ohio Representative Jim Hoops expressed the pride that all were feeling at getting the honor of watching some of their own perform on stage.

I can tell you everyone there felt like they were home, listening to and singing along with both songs that everyone knows and loves, as well as a few unique to the band.

Later on, Ohio State Representative Jim Hoops was there to officially recognize A Girl Named Tom for their impact on the community, and everyone present was proud to be at Fountain City Amphitheater in Bryan, Ohio to welcome A Girl Named Tom home with open arms.
