A groundbreaking event will be held on Tuesday, April 21 to commemorate the start of construction on a new Gospel Music Building at the Fulton County Fair. The public is invited to attend this special ceremony to be held at 7:00 pm at the north end of the fairgrounds in Wauseon.

“Thanks to the generosity of many individuals and churches we are thrilled to be moving forward with the construction of a new Gospel Music Building,” shared Nancy Krieger, Fulton County Music Ministries (FCCMM) Board President. “While we have additional funds to raise and lots of work to do, we are confident we will reach our goal of providing inspirational music to thousands of people in a new building at the Fair this year.”

A number of special guests will be speaking at the short groundbreaking event including Nancy Krieger and Jim Bennett from FCCMM; Dennis Wyse, Fair Board President; and Ed Miller, Fair Foundation. Plans for the new building will be unveiled at the event and speakers will share about the importance of this new building at the Fairgrounds.

The new Gospel Music Building will be 40 ft. x 60 ft. with a 10 ft. overhang on each side. With a framed construction, metal siding, wood interior, acoustic ceiling and overhead doors on three sides – this building will be an ideal open-air space for musical performances at the fairgrounds.

“This project began about five years ago when a generous donor stepped forward with a donation to construct a new building,” Krieger shared. “Since that time we’ve been making plans, raising funds and we’re thrilled to be hosting the groundbreaking event this spring. While we still have money to raise and will need many volunteers to complete the project – we are confident people throughout the region will step up to help make this building a reality.”

The FCCMM is continuing their fundraising campaign to help pay for construction of this new building. Tax deductible donations can be given to the Fulton County Fair Foundation.
For more information on how your church or members of your congregation can get involved visit the Fulton County Music Ministries website or contact an organization board member.
The Fulton County Fairgrounds are located at 8514 State Route 108, Wauseon, Ohio – just ¼ mile north of Ohio Turnpike Exit 34. For more information about the Groundbreaking Event, the new building, making a donation, or volunteering to help with the project visit the FCCMM website at www.fccmm.org
