The Bryan Board of Education held their meeting on Monday, December 11th. The meeting began at 6:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Minutes for the previous meeting held on November 6th, and special meeting held on November 14th were approved first before Ben Camarillo delivered a Four County report.

Financial recommendations, including the monthly financial reports and amended appropriations for 2024 were then approved, along with a list of donations made to the school.

An announcement was then made regarding a board member appointment posting. Due to a determination, said to have been made by the Board of Elections, Dustin Schlachter’s petition for election was not valid.

As such, the seat will become vacant at the next board meeting in January. A new member will be appointed by the board from interested parties.

Board members then moved to set the date of the district’s organizational meeting for Monday, January 15th at 6:00 p.m., with the location not yet being determined.

The board then appointed Scott Benedict to the position of President Pro-Temp for the organizational meeting before moving on to approve the following superintendent recommendations.

An overnight softball trip location change, with the trip taking place on March 25th through March 28th, and the location now changed to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Approval was also given for an Indoor Winter Track Club and the 2024-2025 6-12 curriculum guide.

A list of personnel recommendations was also approved by the board before moving on to approve the second reading of bylaw and policy updates.

Executive session was then entered by the board at 6:36 p.m., with board members reconvening at 7:16 p.m. With no action needing to be taken, the board moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:18 p.m.
